Tenor Christoph Prégardien stars in one of the most anticipated events of the season, an unmissable event for Lieder fans. An impeccable vocal technique, intelligent musicality and the ability to touch the heart of the audience are just some of the reasons why Prégardien has become one of the foremost tenors in the world, especially in the Lieder genre.
Take the opportunity to hear Die schöne Müllerin (The Fair Maid of the Mill), the last in Franz Schubert's song cycle. Excitement, joy, hope, envy, sadness, anger, despair and resignation are all portrayed through poems by Wilhelm Müller. Schubert paints a journey through the different states of mind of unrequited love, using nature to mirror and amplify human emotions.
Pregárdien performs together with Roger Vignoles, one of the most sought-after pianists, to accompany voices such as Anne Sofie von Otter, Thomas Hampson, Gitta-Maria Sjöberg and Sarah Walker, in an evening that forms part of the Barcelona Schubert festival.
