B-Retina 2024
B-Film Festival in Cornellà
to
Auditori Sant Ildefons Plaça Carles Navales s/n, 08940 Cornellà de Llobregat
Dedicated to promoting B movies in Catalunya, B-Retina champions the work of emerging talent in the industry, which otherwise would never make it to the big screen.
This year's edition is dedicated to mashups and crossovers; over four days you'll experience a version of Star Wars to the beat of Rio Carnivals, an Orthodox Christian monk kicking serious ass with his Bolshevik kung-fu, a gigantic killer tarantula cross-dressing as a human, an army of emus battling against Australian soldiers and much more!
The festival also pays tribute this year to the famous actor and director Paul Naschy, opening with the premiere of Crotón el Grande, a posthumous film written by Naschy, who was unable to shoot it due to his death in 2009. Filmmaker Luis Colombo, a film industry veteran and collaborator of Naschy in films such as Empusa (2010), completed the film, preserving the spirit and original vision of the project.
In addition to film screenings, the program features prestigious guests and all kinds of parallel activities. All tickets must be purchased in advance online, with all-day tickets starting at €10 and full-access tickets priced at €32.
