How was the Zoo York movement born? And the renowned brand, Supreme? Who inspired Larry Clark to make his feature debut Kids, considered a cult classic nowadays? All these answers can be found in All the Streets Are Silent: The Convergence of Hip Hop and Skateboarding (1987-1997), an energetic documentary by debutante Jeremy Elkin that transports us to Manhattan in the late 1980s. Stretch Armstrong, Rosario Dawson, Eli Gesner and Yuki Watanabe are some of our companions on this trip to the boisterous moments in which the two subcultures that would revolutionize the world in the 1990s converged: hip hop and skater culture.
The documentary will be screened in English with subtitles.
