This airy restaurant located in El Born is the ideal setting for a lazy Sunday. Picnic offers a menu of authentic brunch dishes often with a twist, like the cinnamon roll pancakes for €9.00. It’s also one of the few brunch places to offer burritos; these range from €8 to €12.50. Although the cocktail list is rather limited, you can count on classics like a mimosa or bloody Mary, and sometimes there’s just no need to over-complicate things.

Brunch & Cake has three locations in the city but the By the Sea location has to be the best; it's located just opposite the port that houses some of the biggest superyachts in Barcelona. This popular brunch spot offers innovative twists on old classics, hearty salads, a next-level avocado toast as well as various plant-based and gluten-free dishes, all priced between €10.90 and €14.90.

If you are looking for a brunch spot outside the city center, then the Federal Cafe in Poblenou is the perfect place to enjoy some peace and quiet. There's something for everyone on this brunch menu, from a variety of filled croissants all priced around €5 to the classic eggs Benedict for €12.50. What’s interesting about this menu is the morning burger range that features a regular hamburger, a bacon burger and a vegan Beyond Meat burger, all priced at €10.50 or less.

If you’ve spent some time on the brunch scene here in Barcelona then you’ve probably heard of Cremat 11, and if you’ve been on the weekend then you’ve probably also waited in line to get in. So, to help with the lines Cremat has opened a new location in Eixample. Still serving all the breakfast classics, this location is an Instagrammer’s paradise, with a gold bar and pastel furniture accents; the cocktails and lemonades are also deliciously refreshing so make sure to enjoy any pictures props while they are still fresh.

Gigi Von Tapas
This brunch spot might be deceiving in its name but Gigi’s is indeed a brunch spot, based on the team's love for Spanish tapas. This location is part of the Milk Bar and Bistro group which also includes Firebug. Gigi's offers the popular Middle Eastern inspired dish shakshuka; an egg cooked in tomatoes, mixed peppers & onions with cumin, cayenne, goat's cheese, cilantro and toasted bread, all for a reasonable €11.50.

This Latin brunch spot offers a wide range of breakfast and lunch dishes from 11:00-16:00 so if you are looking for a centrally-located brunch spot to chill in for the afternoon, then this is a great option. Known for its unique Latin arepas (corn cakes) and fruity breakfast bowls, it also offers some killer cocktails for €9.50 to €12.

This trendy hole-in-the-wall serves up brunch classics, salads & cocktails in a rustic-chic space. Describing itself as a meeting point for locals and visitors, this cafe is located not too far from Plaça de Catalunya and it offers various egg dishes all priced from €10.80 to €15.30, as well as the well-loved classic blueberry pancakes for €9.50. Carrer de Ramon Turró 93, BarcelonaGabby’s offers a brunch that features cocktails, coffee and some delicious desserts. This fresh and healthy menu features classics like avocado toast for €10.50 as well as pulled pork dishes featuring pork that has been slow-cooked for sixteen hours, all priced at around €13.00. However, the star of the show has to be the pancake choco-ball, featuring chocolate sauce, red fruit compote and fresh blueberries and raspberries, all topped with a chocolate ball filled with coffee ice cream.
